Transforming Translation: Impact of Clinical and Translational Science

چکیده

What is translational medicine? This question has been vigorously debated by various constituencies for many years. One recent, encompassing definition of translational medicine was developed for the Strategic Plan in service of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT).1,2 Not coincidentally, the ASCPT Strategic Plan was aptly entitled “Transforming Translation.”
